The Laughlin/Bullhead International Airport serves the Tri-State area of Laughlin, Nevada, Bullhead City, Arizona, and Needles, California. The Airport is located in the northern section of Bullhead City and is operated by the Mohave County Airport Authority, Inc. (MCAA), a nonprofit corporation formed under Arizona Revised Statutes for the purpose of operating a public airport. It was named the 2011 Arizona Airport of the Year by the Arizona Department of Transportation from among the 65 airports located in the state and is the 6th busiest airport in the state. Daily commercial charters are operated by Sun Country Airlines with Boeing 737s and Elite Airways with CRJ700's, for the Riverside Resort and Harrah's Laughlin. Additionally, the airport is the main base for Air Methods/Tri-State CareFlight, a helicopter and fixed wing air ambulance company. Fixed base operations for general aviation, business aircraft, military and commercial flights are provided by Signature Flight Support.
