Spaces Available in the Adopt-a-Parkway Program

The City of Bullhead City is seeking volunteers from local organizations, businesses and school groups who would like to participate in the Adopt-a-Parkway Program on the Bullhead Parkway.

The Adopt-a-Parkway Program was created by the City in 2001 in an effort to give local organizations, businesses and school groups an opportunity to get involved in helping out the community by keeping the Bullhead Parkway clean of trash and other debris.

The Parkway is a total of ten miles long and is broken into two mile sections for adoption. Currently, the City is looking to find volunteers for mile marker 4 to 6 and mile marker 6 to 8.  The program is simple, all you need to do is commit to two clean ups annually coordinated through City staff. The City provides you with safety vests and trash bags.

“If your group is looking for a fulfilling way to give back to the community this program might be for you.” stated City Manager Cotter. 

If interested in participating please submit your organization name and contact information to Sheila Betts, Administrative Analyst by phone at (928)763-0122 ext. 245, by email at sheilabetts@bullheadcity.com or in person at City Hall located at 2355 Trane Road. Deadline to submit is January 31, 2019. The city will draw two applicants at random from the submittals on February 1, 2019.
