2017 Awards Program

The Bullhead City Police Department recently recognized police officers, civilian employees and citizens who contributed in a special way to help others and improve public safety.
Congratulations to Detective Andrew Sevillano, who was named Police Officer of the Year and Animal Care and Welfare Officer Alyson LaCasse, who was named Civilian Employee of the Year.

Detective Andrew Sevillano began his career with the Bullhead City Police Department in 2004. He worked as a School Resource Officer at Fox Creek Junior High School for 10 years while acting as a positive role model for students. Detective Sevillano began his current assignment in the Bureau of Criminal Investigations in 2015. He has also served on the Department’s Crisis Negotiation Team since 2009. Detective Sevillano is the Police Officers Association (FOP/POA) President and the President of the Shop with a Cop Board, dedicating many hours to help underprivileged children in our community during the holiday season. This is the second time Detective Sevillano has been honored with this award. He was named the Department’s Police Officer of the Year in 2011.

Alyson LaCasse began her career in the Bullhead City Police Department’s Bureau of Animal Care and Welfare (ACW) as a shelter support worker in 2011 and became an ACW Officer in 2014.
“Aly has worked several high profile animal hoarding and neglect cases and has represented the police department well with her professionalism and compassion,” said Bradley Oliver, Support Services Division Manager. “Aly is described as a team player who motivates and encourages her coworkers. She is quick on her feet and is good at coming up with solutions to problems and working through issues.”

Congratulations to all those who received an award for their excellence and dedication to the community!
