Public Outreach Meetings Being Conducted by Bullhead Area Transit System
The Bullhead Area Transit System is hosting several upcoming public outreach meetings during the month of September to discuss proposed changes to the current fixed route services. Transit staff made a presentation outlining the proposed changes to the Bullhead Area Transit Commission at their August 7 meeting.
Following recommendations made in the adopted Short Range Transit Plan, staff is proposing changes that include splitting the current Red Line into two separate routes, containing the Blue Line route to the West portion of the City, and reconfiguring the Green Line route to service the East portion of the City as well as stops along Bullhead Parkway. The recommended changes include the addition of several new stop locations in an effort to increase efficiency and better service the needs of the community as well as the elimination of several stops that have extremely low ridership or are duplication of service.
Staff is seeking input from the public before a final recommendation is made to both the Transit Commission and Bullhead City Council. Meetings will be held on the following dates and locations and should be around an hour.
